Local Contest 2008

Welcome to the SkillsUSA Internetworking Technical Committee's  
web site. This site is to help you deliver the local or regional Internetworking Contest. There are four parts to the local contest.Cable construction, End -to- End networking, technical assistance call, and the Exam. Below is a comprehensive set of documents to help you administer the local contest. We the committee hope to challenge the contestants, which we hope ultimately prepares tomorrow's workforce for life-long learning opportunities.

Possible Scenario  
This document gives you a time
schedule and procedure for
administering  the contest.


Cable Making
Contestants have 30 minutes to
make patch, crossover, roll-over
cables.

End to End Networking will involve a router configuration based in the CCENT or INTRO CCNA certification. If all contestants are from a Cisco Academy you might want to consider the use of Packet Tracer 4.1 for this activity.

Technical Assistance Call . Contestant must talk a customer through a networking relate problem on the telephone.

The Exam is a 40 question test that covers basic networking knowledge. An answer key is also provided.

To obtain all the files needed to Run thecomplete contest.   Please
contact bschoenh@cisco.com Please show proof  you are running the contest by supplying:

  • Name &Title
  • Location where the contest is to be held
  • Date of Contest
